The knarled knotted palm
Painfully outstretched
Sought just alms ....


Yet, I would not
Could not .....

Face
His poverty-eaten face


Only sought to escape ..........


From him ??


From the guilt of
My radiant health
My tightly-held
Undeserved wealth !!
